What a great player he was.

Re: Matt le Tissier
I can think of a few nations, more successful than England, where Le Tissier would've been their talisman and starred in major tournaments. Apart from the odd one or two, England managers have always lacked ambition, are stuck in their ways and played it too safe. Some things never change.

Re: Matt le Tissier
genius footballer. made me laugh listening to him in an interview a few months back when he mentioned the "he's got a fucking big nose" song. he didn't mention the specific fans, but I knew he was talking about us šŸ˜

Heā€™s lost his marbles though hasnā€™t he.

Re: Matt le Tissier
I see an interview with him recently and he was asked if he'd ever go back to Sky.

He said they would never ask him back as they don't want the likes of him anymore. Said he loved his time with them. Sitting with your mates and talking football for 6 hours every Saturday. Said it was a dream job and he loved every minute of it. But when Sky became so politically motivated it soon turned sour and things changed very quickly. He said they (the old Soccer saturday panel) all soon became aware of a different atmosphere and they knew things were going on behind the scenes. They were quickly made to feel unwelcome.

He said there is no way he would ever go back to Sky. If they offered him more money and the same job and same panel he said he would never work for such a politically charged company again.

No, he hasnā€™t. He is sane and sober, and in possession of a spine and priciples.

Class act on the pitch, and still a class act now.

You can always tell a decent player by the time on the ball Le Tiss certainly had shit loads of time !!

Scored a lot of class goals also.

I'm sure Le Tiss will be devastated to learn that the IRA think he has lost his marbles.

Re: Matt le Tissier
Bonkers talent, some of his goals. Even got capped in the North bank when he scored a hat trick against us

Fuckin big nose that we used to sing about.

Now some sage against all things woke.

Personally I file in the bonkers box along with that Scottish hippie that what done the Coast program.

Football wise hard to see an English talent like at the time, apart from Gazza

Re: Matt le Tissier
Strange that Hoddle didn't rate/fancy him, especially after he banged on a hat-trick for the stiffs, and Sutton was binned for refusing to play for the stiffs.

Top bloke. Had a good chat with him whilst he queued directly in front of me at the check in at Lanzarote airport a few years ago.

Heā€™s lost his marbles though hasnā€™t he.

I'd suggest you have if you really think that. He's been proven right by many medical experts along the way but you won't get that info on Sky/BBC/MSM.

Good footballer. One of only a few trying to expose the covid vaccine effects.

Re: Matt le Tissier
Iā€™ve seen nothing of him since he stopped playing and it has always baffled me why he did not get bought by a top club.

Re: Matt le Tissier
One of my favourite goals AGAINST us was when Southampton had a corner at the BML/Chicken Run end and we was all singing his 'big nose' song to him (as he was taking the corner) and he promptly scored direct from it.....he turned round to us in the CR & BML with his hands out and a grin and we all clapped the cunt.....I think we even carried on the singing the song....although that may have been wishful thinking....

Re: Matt le Tissier
Didn't he score a trio the last game of the Chicken Run?? 3-3 draw??Bonkers game that was... as was afterwards seeing two blokes walking down Barking Road with a claret and blue crash barrier... asked the bloke where he was going to keep it... his reply?? back garden...!!!

Re: Matt le Tissier
Yeah always a good rapport he had with us... lot of piss taking and he gave it back.... same as Wrighty used to do with the goons... would always do a Wanker sign and a smile to us after we'd sing Ian Wank wank wank song... Bish used to get shit loads from oppo' fans especially taking corners South bank end... he'd always blow them a few kisses... !!

Re: Matt le Tissier
Vinnie Jones and Mark Dennis used to give it back to the crowd too with a bit of humour.

Paul Allen used to hate being called Judas though, you could see him get more and more wound up as the match went on.
